Tyllis Svenska AB strengthens its presence in the Swedish market and welcomes Johan Brodin as a new sales representative. Together with colleague Jan-Erik Tylli, who has been with Tyllis since the establishment in Sweden in the 1990s, they are now responsible for operations in Sweden.
Sales representative who speaks the customers’ language
Johan has been driving crane trucks for 17 years, as an employee and owner-operator. He has always driven Tyllis-built transport solutions and sees the advantages of selling a product he has worked hands-on with for many years.
“It’s easy for me to relate to crane trucks since I’ve been driving them myself for a long time, so I’m used to the customers’ way of speaking. Yesterday, a customer asked me what I thought he might have overlooked in his new build. Because even if you have been in the industry for a long time, you might still need a fresh idea or a little help along the way”, says Johan.
Aren’t you going to build a new one soon?
The best way to sell is through valued products with a good market reputation. “A crane truck from Tyllis retains a high resale value. The crane trucks I drove were always sold before we even ordered new ones. People would call and ask, ‘Aren’t you going to build a new one soon?’ because they wanted to buy the old truck”, says Johan. Customer satisfaction is the greatest driving force, and at Tyllis, there is a consensus that you are never better than your latest delivery.
With the office in your pocket
Both sales representatives note that their office fits in their pocket – the phone is their most important work tool. When a customer orders a customised transport solution, it takes approximately one year until delivery. “Sales take time, which means a lot of calls. We stay in close contact with customers who have ongoing projects, as well as with new customers and those we’ve recently delivered to”, says Jan-Erik.
Tyllis Svenska AB’s sales representatives are both based in Stockholm, Johan on the south side and Jan-Erik on the north side, but they meet customers anywhere. “I’ve had customers who had dogs at the same time as me, which made it possible to talk business during dog walks”, says Jan-Erik. With their phones in hand, the sales representatives are available to all customers across Sweden, Norway, and Iceland. “We are always just a phone call away”, says Johan.
